Is it just me or has Solaris City FPS been much worse recently?

Thank you.

Try clearing your shader cache, see if it helps.

Solaris is always laggy for me an I have a high end system but it has gotten worse over the last patch or so. That and river city seem to have some optimization issues because I can stare at a wall and the fps will fluctuate wildly on both maps depending on the spot I'm in. Dropping to dx9 can help as its far less buggy and you will gain some measure of performance. From my testing image quality is identical but you lose access to the higher AA options only having postaa and fxaa but both of those work just fine.

You can also try a user config to further optimize the settings since the baked in settings are for decade old pc.

I have a few presets and instructions on use at the end of this thread.

I think the best way to improve that would be to have rain removed from the map.... It is a strage city anyway to have medium rain with a clear sky with stars.

I’ve never noticed rain on that map, must be my video settings. Oh, and I don’t have any fps issues on it.

Good hunting,

I'm not having any trouble with it. Played a match on that map today and didn't even notice any lag.

Yeah thats the thing. For some it performs great and others not so much. Even those with beefy gaming rigs. It's also a bit cyclic. One match it runs more or less smoothly and the next time it loads up its a laggy mess but mostly for me its fairly laggy no matter what settings I use.
