Wait... isn't Orion mini atlas?

anything and everything vaguely atlas-shaped with lots of armor is called a mini-atlas so I've noticed

Oh yeah, my bad.

I think I have nostalgia goggles with the old Urbie quirks.

Still tho, I don't really notice much difference with the sturdiness -- it's less sturdy, but it's not as fragile as the OP seems to complain.

currently my playtesting with Hashke specifically has felt exceptionally fragile for some reason, over the IS urbies.

You just need to git-gud adjust.

Sure, I don't like the Cauldron playstyle either, but the meta is something you inevitably skirt when talking about balance -- i.e. right now, in this thread. As in if you make ballistic urbie strong by touching armor, you inevitably buff energy urbie with it, and now you got an even stronger meta-urbie, so what do you think that does to the meta you so like so hate?

And as I said before, Clan Urbie is just as sturdy as IS Urbie, it has the same armor quirks. You already have the little trash-can as good as it should get. If it comes out short, it's largely on you.

i dont think ballistics have been meta since the days of kodiak 3s or perhaps the gauss'n'ppc meta of olde. generally durring the life of this game i dont think ballistics have ever approached greatness. the big ones are weak especially due to map design, and the small ones are lame dps weapons that require too much face time. only the 10 seems to check all the boxes and it got heavily nerfed as a result. wouldnt mind seeing a new ballistic meta arise, id hoped hags would do it, but so far they are a novelty at best. though it is nice to dump 40 damage at moderate ranges from one gun mounted in an urbie.

I don't think HAGs are a novelty at all, by virtue of being that one effective AC from 810m away, and doesn't jam. (Oh come on, it's an AC)

And you know how the meta-minded comp balance-overlords like their long-range sniping.

im not saying they aren't effective, but yea it is an alternative to the uac10 or the gauss, which are really the only effective single ballistics in the game, its in good company. it is a novelty as per the definition of the word, but i meant it to mean not-meta.

TY. And that difference is noticeable since you have to double tap the UAC 20 which means a fair amount of face time for such a light mech. I consistently find my CT shot out running this mech with the UAC 20. :(

You mean the light mech that you can run a UAC20 effectively at all, when it's predecessor can only do so as a meme? What other comparison do you could possibly have for such a long burst?

You need to git-gud adjust, and twist more. Alternatively, use a different weapon.
