You can buy the Atlas in the Store. You can choose from six standard versions and two Hero 'Mechs.

Unfortunately for you, 'McLaine' is NOT talking about the original "Atlas" (...https://www.sarna.net/wiki/Atlas_(BattleMech)...) series, which MWO already has present. They are instead very much talking about the later "Atlas II" (...https://www.sarna.net/wiki/Atlas_II...) series, which they wish to have the modeling introduced for. :(

Just a variant on the Atlas. BattleMaster also looks quite differently than it should.

Would rather see dragon fire, hauptmann, conjurer, avatar, katana, templar. Like how different is the atlas Ii from the original? Hmm? Would rather not see recicled mechs without a good reason

Does my memory stand correct in the knowledge that some of those Mechs require I.S. XL Engines in order to exist? If so, then we need to change the game mechanics surrounding LFE/C-XL/I.S.-XL before we can properly introduce them. Otherwise, those Mechs' level of viability will be near non-existent from the moment they're even presented to MWO's Community and the jeering would be in the extreme. On the bright side, if those changes did occur, then we could also introduce that XXL Engine [https://www.sarna.net/wiki/XXL_fusion_engine] for both Clans and I.S. (preferably with some lightweight differences — such as not costing 2.5 times the XL Engine... maybe 1.5 times an XL at maximum — by comparison to what the Lore says about it... pun not exactly intended...) which others have talked about into MWO at about the same time! I certainly would enjoy seeing what people could come up with after that, provided it didn't send game balance to the junk pile... Thinking about that however, maybe it could help with game balance if such equipment gets introduced & handled in the proper manner? :)

Well, introducing XXL engines would be... interesting.

Sasquatch – BattleTechWiki (sarna.net) - like UrbanMech with its STD 60 engine, Sasquatch also have that quirk with 425 XXL Engine. It could be even introduced the game right away, minus Large Shield.

Savage Wolf (Mad Cat Mk IV) – BattleTechWiki (sarna.net) - also uses XXL engine, and kinda can also be easily implemented into the game (would just require A5 FCS + FL Armor [Ferro-Lamellor; -12% per ton for protection, but -20% for incoming damage]);

Silver Fox – BattleTechWiki (sarna.net) - also doable, but requires Magshots + Angel ECM.

Paladin (BattleMech) – BattleTechWiki (sarna.net) - requires CIS (Composite Internal Structure - a holy grail for all those minmaxers out there, who're brave enough to get their structure HP decreased for 50% just that big weight reduction without taken up slots...).

Prowler (BattleMech) – BattleTechWiki (sarna.net) - Unfeasible; requires a lot of not-implemented components; besides it uses the Clan Tech while it is on IS tech base.

Probably some other models use XXL engines as well, but their rating are unknown for now.

Besides, maybe Compact Fusion Engine (CFE), or even ☢ Fission Engine could also give some flexibility...
