Question About Drop Deck Tonnage

I understand there have been balances between Clan and IS so Clan mechs don't actually dominate everything. Why is the Clan drop deck max tonnage 255 while IS is 265?

Perhaps PGI thinks that the balance IS and Clan is still not perfect. Ask Daeron Katz when you see him.
