Is singling out specific pilots against PGIs CoC?

Is grouping up in-match to single out a specific player drop after drop okay with CoC?

Is making one specific pilot's in-game life miserable okay with everyone aboard?

I could be posting a list of names of victims and perpetrators but I'd rather ask like this in a post and read the replies......... if any

IMHO,.. playing this game for a damn long time,... it is not.

This is a rhetorical question right? I ask because of the location you post this and the quality of discourse we usually expect.

Over the years various aspects of the CoC have been interpreted very differently between various members of the PGI staff as well as between individual moderators (e.g., I just used a forbidden word (moderators) which some would use as an excuse to remove my comment, close this tread, move the thread to K-town, or take no action whatsoever despite discussions of this sort being forbidden by the CoC). That being said, I think you should think long and hard before discussing individual players engaged in whatever conduct you think is problematic, and then go ahead and share all the gory details with us at the outreachHPG subreddit where that sort of thing is permitted without concern.

Do you mean prioritizing killing of some player in game or what? Your (rhetorical?) question is bit unclear to me at least...

If you're trash talking some dude in game, its against CoC.
If you're team killing some dude in game, its against CoC.
If you offer your team MC or something for whoever kills that one dude, its against CoC.

If you keep killing some dude over and over again on the opposite team and plan your entire strategy around killing said dude... that's not against CoC... unless you combine it with abusive talk in chat in the process.

TBT, I actually APB on the good players, the comps, like Nikoro Doomguard recently, with the tendency to snipe, on the express purpose of warning player of what he can do if left alive.

But, my team usually ignores him against my warning, so you can imagine what happens when you let a pro snipe you from a distance.

Oh yes, totally warn your team when a good player has a sniping mech out there. But what you don't do is verbally teabag the guy every time you sneak up on him and machine-gun-murder him to death. Posted Image

I see an enemy I've faced numerous times, I certainly call them out.. good or bad depending on how those games have gone. Respect, disrespect, if they are finding places to shut down and hide if things go south. If they're an elite shadowcat zoom sniper... Go unnoticed. If you're a streamer on your 6th game account, and you use the same tagline's and put your stream up... yeah I'll mess with you then also, especially if you're on not just your second, but your 4th+ account. Or if every single match you're screaming orders at people and calling them all sorts of crap for not doing as you have said. Match after match, giving up and crying over the mic, after the first one or two mechs have fallen, so you know... it's 0 -1, 0 - 2. Thanks a lot guys, we just Fing lost because of you, it's over... and the tirade starts. I nearly always feed into it. I can't entirely help it. I'm a troll by nature.

Based on when this thread was created, this looks to be prime time oceanic. Which Victoria Bitter drinking aussie bloke was it that torched your mech paperdoll?

Old style faction play often had a clearly publicised set of "Most Wanted" for a weekend with bounty payments, although this was with the agreement of the Units & Players all involved. Actually made for a fun little side event.

Occasionally some people need team killed... Just saying.

You take a pretty big hit to your Tier if you do though, better to just leg them and leave them. Posted Image

If all you mean is preferentially focusing a specific player on the enemy team every time you see them.. obviously thats not against CoC.. a lot of the more notoriously good players (like Data, etc) almost certainly do have that happen to them.

i see so many of the same names around my matches its hard not to get chummy. its always fun to go after a notable player when the opportunity arises, but its all in good fun. sometimes you will get a legitimate vendetta but how do you tell the difference? and frankly id rather they duke it out in a nice safe video game than resort to actual fisticuffs. on top of that it adds an element of depth to an otherwise stale game. if you go out of your way to piss off other players and then cry when they get a few of their buddies to stomp your ***, that's kind of a you problem. perhaps try not being a **** and playing the victim card wont help much (unless the thing you are trying to do is paint a target on your back).

After doing some marginal sleuthing, I have discovered that this is exactly what happened.

War story of years past when the lct 1e droped. I was in a match with few unit members in qp. One enemy which I forgot the name since it was years ago was trash talking the entire match. Far beyond the normal expected stuff. He used religion, race, threats of crimes etc.

The side I was on with my unit mates was getting decimated. Trash talker keeping on the whole time even his own side was commenting him to stfu. It was down to me being the last mech in the 1e spl build vs the rest of the enemy.

Trash talker was in a dragon thinking he was safe. I solo-ed him while two of "his team" just stood and watched him and me fight. He lost badly to my 1e as I took his leg and striped him of his weapons before finally coring him. While the team mates did end up wasting my mech at the end both teams did give cheers of retribution and thanks to me for killing the trash talker. I suspect most of us playing that match banned the trash talker after wards.
