Spoiler

This rework that was planned long ago was scrapped because we couldn't PTS.

But now, with the advent of new weapons, that wasn't PTSed, maybe we can finally get these change rolling. No more unpredictable UACs.

As for the jam chance/duration quirks? Maybe just rework them into CD.

Especially with C-UACs falling out of favor in many builds and being replaced with HAGs, especially builds that used UAC-10s. Why use a UAC-10 that has the highest jam chance in the entire UAC family when you could use a HAG-20 instead for the same tonnage. On top of that, UAC-20s are a ton lighter and double-tap for 10 more damage vs HAG-30s, but HAGs will never jam and you don't need quirks to fire 2.

Honestly, except for in your face brawlers or megaquirked UAC builds, HAGs have pushed them out of the main Clans ballistic staple. And getting proverbially caught with your pants down as your main source of DPS jams for 5 seconds cause RNG ****** you goes a long way towards being pushed aside in today's meta.

Maybe then we can unwind the UAC10s ghost heat, the ghost heat for 3 seems a little ridiculous now.

TBH, there are some days I wonder if the Quad UAC10 Kodiak was still a thing, would it even be as powerful as it was back then? (The answer is yes, but without the mobility I don't think it would be as dominant)

GH for 2x IS AC20 has felt stupid since... Well heavy gauss release. But I understand, Boomjager is still so dangerous oh wait it has HSL for AC20...

Quad cAC10+erppc kodiak is still a thing so UACs would be also, bit more hot and cold with jams.

cant help but notice the cooldown nerf on the uacs, especially the 2s. seems like they would do more than 50% less dps unless its going to be firing in 2x2 or 3x1.5 bursts at a proportionally appropriate cd value. kind of like the idea of it being a solid burst with a longer cd so i just have to hit it once. way things are you know how many mice ive destroyed spamming those buttons. game is gonna give me carpal tunnel syndrome. some of us are getting old ffs. i just gave up and put on a turbo macro if only i can remember to load it (again getting old).

i also wouldnt mind the is lb2/5 (an perhaps the lb20) be reduced by a ton each such that they match the big and light niche of the 10. would make it a bit more flexible for both lights and mediums. unless were gonna get lacs or other light ballistics.

Well, these was the old Cauldron values.

Eh, you want the higher alphas UACs give, you can dang well eat the jams that go along-with. It's the price you pay. The reduced jam times in the last patch made an immediate and noticeable difference in how UAC/10s in particular play and I think people might be sleeping on 'em a bit.

problem is when you are running a boat the jams matter a lot less and then heat becomes the dominant limiting factor. the cases in which you run just one uac are diminishingly small. usually relegated to a single uac20. frankly id rather run 2 of the next size down in almost all cases over a single gun if that is an option.

im also convinced you can get more consistent performance out of them with a macro to space out taps of multiple guns sufficiently (a delay interval of 1/2 a game tick is sufficient) to ensure that the rng rolls another number with each doubletap. its still random but the chance your guns will all jam at once is reduced. my theory is that the server is lazy and will reuse an rng value multiple times before rolling or re seeding. it also has the side effect of firing a condensed burst for peak and poke. since this is a basic turbo macro and not really anything fancy i dont really think it counts as an exploit as macros are not considered exploits and i mostly use it to save my fingers and my mice. though if my theory is correct it probibly should count. the point would be moot entirely by removing the dice roll.
