Well I am a Huge PC Hardware enthusiast and I have been petitioning the Forum Mods to create a Tech section but until they do, it seems to me that alot of people here are going to be overhauling their rigs if not building completely new ones for this game. Now obviously we all know tech moves fast and if you are trying to research components it can be really overwhelming, so while I and other tech inclined members are happy to field these here. I figured I would recommend a site and community where you can ask questions and get friendly answers without feeling stupid or out of place. Ninja Lane, I know the guys behind this site and they are truly hardcore enthusiasts REDMAX the owner even uses liquid nitrogen or competitive overclocking yet they are incredibly approachable and do great easy to read hardware reviews and will field questions on those same parts in the forums. Anywho its a great place to investigate tech and post parts list before you buy them and get tips and tricks. I post there under the name dieseldog49 and make sure you post in the Introduction thread to say Hi!

Until they give us an actual forum, this thread is an excellent idea.
I'm sure there's at least a few of us who are around who regularly frequent and contribute to tech forums; it'll be nice to have a section for that sort of help/advice here

Yah, i am pretty good with Tech, but i still need to ask questions regarding specific things from time to time . .
Customer example:"i accidentally let out the blueish greyish gas inside my computer and now it won't work anymore, what do i do?"
If you can't tell from that, i do Tech-Support.

Great idea!
OT:
Simple: Change fuel rods--> restart reactor--> reboot system (or just pour some hot tea on the CPU)

Awesome thread, Vincent. Not to steal it, but if we're posting PC hardware help, the Ars Technica system guide is a good place for a PC overview. They've done a lot of these over the years, and the latest one was done in December of 2011, so it's up to date. Of course the folks at Ninja Lane (or some fans here) are a great place to get your questions answered!
Here's the guide for those interested.

I just built a new desktop (my first time!) and I found the system guides to be a great starting point, they do a good job of explaining why they go with certain parts, and offering comparisons that can be helpful to people who aren't familiar with the latest hardware and options.

Shall we keep this separate and from decaying into a discussion about joysticks?

Yes please unless you want to discuss building one from parts
