^Just 3 matches? You're lucky. I ran a 3x AMS Nova for several matches and took out... Just over 200 missiles. The first match I played, my AMS never went off once the entire match.

And a tip for the newer players, range skill nodes also buff your AMS' range, which makes it a bit stronger.


Also, I mentioned earlier that a Halloween warhorn was awarded to me, but the game said it was already loaded on another mech. I redeemed that via the in-game option, and after I played another match, it was available to use. No idea why it was blocked after I initially received it though. Successive Halloween warhorns seemed to load just fine after I claimed them.

I just had one LRM-heavy game and I farmed 413 LRMs.

I farmed 606 in a match last night. Sometimes the stars align.

The trick to AMS seems to be "just equip it". It shoots down SRMs and MRMs, as well as LRMs, just much less efficiently or effectively, but if you have the AMS equipped over the entire length of the event, you'll shoot down enough missiles eventually, even if it takes an exceptionally long time. And in the process, who knows? Maybe someone will want to take their LRM boat for a spin and you'll get lucky.

When you have AMS in the event but don't have LuRMs; no one in upper tier brings lurms (because they are so ineffective) so no one can complete the ams event. It takes forever to shoot 600 SRM/MRM

I don’t know if anyone has taken the BJ-A for a spin post-patch. With the quirks and range nodes it’s really fun plinking away with the equivalent of nine light machine guns at range.

I bought a Corsair for the event on the alt. Only took two matches, and now I'll just rebuild it as something useful without AMS.

I don't mind having objectives besides "play enough matches to grind match score" though, and 668 missiles is a low criteria. I just need to shoot arms off for a bit now to tick off the components requirement, everything else just happened organically over the 12 matches.
