Been out of play for quite some time. I am considering installing MW5 Mercs, all of them. And of course Clans. I've always been a Falcon. I'm concerned about installing a third party client like steam. It seems Epic has one too and GOG has Galxy for coop games. Is there a way to not use a third party client like Steam. I really do not want it on my machine.
Any incite is appreciated.

GOG lets you install the game without a Launcher and you have the game installation files at your hands.
The MW5 mods form the very famous modsite also work well.
Optionally you can use GOG Galaxy but it is not mandatory - its up to you!
MW:Clans seem to be a standalone game but for MW5 there are existing many Clan Mods that add Mechs and stuff to classic MW5.
MW5 is able to be played COOP + crossplay afaik and only the Host needs the DLCs.
Grab them on Sale makes it a bargain that entertains you hundreds of hours...but do not expect a hardcore Milsim - its an Action-Sim with optionaly narrated content.
