Lately it seems that heat dissipation rate in testing grounds is a lot slower than in actual games. Builds that are actually viable in-game seem unplayably hot in testing. Has anyone else noticed this bug? Is there a workaround?

Never noticed such thing.
(I encountered the heat bug though, maybe it's just that, but it happens in game too)

Not noticed that at all.. have you actually tested it empirically (i.e. by reviewing video footage and comparing)? Or just going off a feeling?

I've not recorded video, but it is pretty clear when I play one of my known mechs then take the same mech to the same map in testing to compare. It doesn't happen every time, but pretty consistently for a week or so. It's not a huge issue, but it makes it difficult to know if a potential loadout is gonna be workable or not.

Testing grounds is known to NOT work 1:1 like live environment --> test stuff in lobby with a buddy to have realistic results.

Human psychology is always a factor.

In the midst of the battle, it always seems to me that my weapons recharge horribly slowly and that my 'Mech almost does not shed its waste heat. Posted Image

Anyway, you should use some video recording software and then compare the results of Training Grounds vs. Live map.

this is kind of why i avoid the testing grounds, testing in live game is better. just check your radar first.

testing grounds is more for learning the hitboxes of various mechs, though i wish there were some newer ones in there or that they were random stock builds.
