I got the WLF - C (L) and noticed that everything is CASE protected. I'm curious as to why? It is an energy weapon exclusive mech. If you have no ammo to explode, then there is no reason to have CASE.

It standard for every clan mech that is case protected regardless of it's a energy boat or not.

Yep, its a clan Wolfhound.

CASE is integrated into clan mech construction doctrine, regardless of its loadout or if its an Omni or Battlemech.

If it came out of a clan factory, it had CASE in every section.

Mostly used for AMS sections, before MWO made AMS ammo inert, but also for the many players who would slap Gauss in any ballistic slot possible, or now HAGS.

Because for PGI it is easier to mark all sections of all Clan 'Mechs as "CASE Protected" instead of ensuring that such designation is applied correctly to the sections that have some explosive content in them.

always figured this mech was a reference to ciro ramirez from the animated series, as he piloted a wolfhound. cant remember what happened to his mech but it makes sense that the clans would have retrofit it as a clan mech after his capture.

It's Phelan Kell's Wolfhound rebuilt with clan tech when he with Clan Wolf during the Clan invasion, and it's a one of kind build.
