GET RID OF THOSE BLOODY TREES!
The holidays are over, everyone who put up a tree in their house for the holidays have done taken them down weeks ago. Time for you, "PGI" to do the same.
I can tell you that, most people think that trees in the mechbay was a HUGE waste of time and effort and money. Instead of trying to make that more festive for a short amount of time, that programming skill could have been put to better use like fixing the bloody HIT REG, and server lag bug.
Especially when using PPCs. and yes, this includes both IS and CLAN. I can't tell you how many times I had targets dead to rights within the optimal range only to see the PPC's fly straight through them, and a lot of other pilots notice this too. Oh, sure you can say oh well, that's packet loss, or you shot between the legs etc... Nope! Kinda hard to shoot the legs when aiming at the CT from 250 Meters Away!!! and you can physically see the orb of energy clipping through the target. Even Pilots who are spectating see this exact same thing.
But I Digress...
If you want to make the mechbay more festive! instead of putting up trees, how about this, make it look like an old school mechanics shop!
Such as neon lights, empty Timbiki Dark cans/bottles scattered, overfilled grease rag bins, random tools lying about, brand name Oil posters or signs, dart board, rusty toolboxes with half the draws open, random pile of scrap damaged parts in a corner, you know just common things you would find in an actual mechanic's workshop.
If you never seen an actual mechanic's workshop, I mean a REAL shop then it is quite obvious you are afraid to get your hands dirty.
Anyone else have any ideas to improve the mechbay? thoughts?

And yes I have worked in a "shop" Electricians shops aboard 2 USN warships. A Cruiser and a Destroyer.
The conditions you describe would not be put up with in a military environment because of dangers and hazards.

That's been suggested quite a few times, let us decorate the mech bay with already-in-game assets such as mech decals we own or paint it with colors we own.
