This isn't so much a suggestion for PGI as it is for some of our talented modders. Specifically the sound pack folks.

Ever call a Gauss Rifle a Goose Rifle instead? Ever want a different sound effect for one? In this case... goose sounds.

I think this is something to ask for on Reddit or some other place to more reliably reach the modding community.

this would be a great april fools thing your gaus rifle is now a goose rifle and shoots geese instead of solid slugs, hits on other mechs still do the full damage but when a goose hits a target it explodes into white feathers.... this excludes HAGs.
