What? So if no server wjhy did I go through the drop que que? Think there might be a bug in this latest drop que with the 275 limit on tonnes and Incursion. If it is a bug at least a few others must be experiencing this. Or? Maybe it's not you... It's me. (Whaaaaa)

So wanted to report dropped twice now. No more issues of that.

I went in right after I posted and enable Oceana also. Prior was only N Am and Europe. No problems now. Dunno if that was related.

Also having trouble with event queue this evening. First game, got the queue dropped with the no servers available error. Worked after that.

Tried to queue for the second game just now, dropped three times in a row. On the 4th one, got dropped again with mechs in the drop deck locked, showing as in game.

REALLY disappointed. Tried to load into the incursion event. after waiting 4 minutes it looked like it was finally loading. Then after watching the split screen animation for about 30 seconds it drops me out and says there were no servers available. I click on the event again and wait another 3 minutes watching the circle of boredom then it stops and says I can't enter because my mech is in another game. I click ok and when I click the event tab a third time it shows all 4 mechs as being in game but does not allow me an option to re-join. WTF? Really. Is it really that buggy of an environment that it starts with problems?

Incursion Quick Guide - for those who need it.

I got this of the internet somewhere… Correct it if needed, otherwise it seems accurate.

Incursion is a mode where you can win by destroying all non-turret structures in the enemy base OR by destroying all enemy mechs + damaging their base a tiny bit more than they damaged yours.

Note that the walls of any base can be destroyed, as can turrets, but these don't count towards "base destruction".

Each side has a base with several mobile stations, several turrets, and three towers. Towers are:
  • Radar
  • Jammer
  • Air Control
Towers can be powered-on for a short period of time by retrieving a charge from one of the three “Yellow Lightning Ports” in the middle of the map. Charge up your mech and drop-off the charge at your home base by placing it on the desired tower by remaining in close proximity to it.


Abbilities:
  • Radar - periodically reveals the location of all enemy mechs, on the whole map, for a few seconds. Useful any time.
  • Jammer - Jamms enemies' abbility to target you, in close proximity to your base. Useful in scenarios where lock-on weapons are hurting your team while you are close to your base.
  • Air Control - Calls in a dropship, to attack enemy mechs in the enemy base. Also gives UAV intel. Useful when they refuse to come out

It was great having Escort again, however I'd suggest adding the x2 speed. The game I played was only using mediums, but we could catch up to the VIP once you lost your first mech so the attacker ALWAYS won

Incursion is FAN-FREEKIN-TASTIC! Ran one whole game in a light snipping targets of opportunity, and filling energy. No I was not appreciated but oh well. Second match my 4 lasted the whole game. Most fun I have had on Mechwarrior in a long time. Not a mode I could play too often though. My nerves right now are buzzing. I was starring at my screen so hard I gave myself a headache. lol. Definitely a mode I'd like to see in rotation, uhmmm mm (without the startup bug.) hmm mm mmh

I don't see them adding Escort or Incursion back to QP, unfortunately, cause It just got removed a few month ago; but I would hope to see it in Events. Hence the term - An Event. But hey I will always take in QP personally. Just have to explain to new players how it works. I think they even have a webpage with instructions somewhere.

Since this thread is being monitored by Daeron, at least, for now: Got my TBR-S(CS), went to "load" a saved build, and all my TBR-C builds came up. None of my TBR-S builds. Noticed the torsos and legs are all TBR-C, and wondering if the TBR-S(CS) got coded wrong, somewhere. Game thinks it's a TBR-C, not a TBR-S. Completely messes with the save/load build system. I appreciate it not being its own unique 'mech, like so many CB boosted 'mechs have been (no link to their standard counterparts), but it'd be nice if it was linked to the same standard counterpart. :)

Next time no groups to 2v2s please. Groups just dominate the queue and its not worth dropping solo.

I really enjoyed the escort and incursion modes this past event, thanks for that. It was my first time playing escort and it does seem one sided where the attackers usually win because the defenders aren’t able to regroup in time when the VIP travels farther away.

I was thinking that it might be better if the VIP moved parallel to the drop line rather than from one side to the other. Like if the drop zones are east and west, the VIP would move north to south, and maybe a little offset towards the defender side. That would keep the fighting consistent along the path of travel.

Also, someone mentioned adding a convoy. I second that. Maybe an armed convoy.

Due to RL interfering I only got to play Incursion a few times but it was very enjoyable. I would say it should added to EQ regularly but I think I now understand why it was dropped from QP.

I appreciate Incursion and Escort because they force everyone to get out of their map comfort zones.

It feels like a waste, to not utilize whole maps; layouts so intricately designed by someone. Great fun way to encourage new map geography dynamics!

Hey, and if voting majority is afraidPosted Image to get out of their comfort bubble in QP, they don't have to! That is what Events are for - to spice things up! Something for *everyone*...!

great event, I hope some useful testing results were achieved

escort was too easy, stopping a suicide swarm on the Atlas prooved very difficult

Incursion was much more difficullt than i imagined, base rush would damage but not so easy to destroy the entire base


Bring more Bases, turrets, moving NPC!

Incursion used to be in Faction play. It got added when the other QP match modes did. It probably got removed from Faction when it was removed from QP. I wonder if there's a way to add it to one, and not the other? Or if the "QP Match Pool" that FP draws from is tied to being only the QP match pool.
