Am I the only one who finds this LRM staple mech being called an "Emotional support" mech extremely offensive?

PGI must really change their stance on LRMs and lurmers, because this is becoming openly abusive.

And keep in mind this comes on the back of a Staff Member openly admitting the Gauszilla mech which is "his baby" was OP and a mistake..

My wife is a dedicated lurmer and opted not to buy the mech pack on the sole reason of this being insulting.

She playes LRMs exclusively, mind you..

That tagline, and the Christmas trees in the Mechlab setting off that other guy (I had no idea wtf he was complaining about until I logged in) has me convinced that PGI have acquired or at least began to display a much needed sense of humour. Oh it is funny, yes, but its also in poor taste. (We all know the two are not mutually exclusive.)

The implication being that a PGI account just guffawed at the idea that people who use LRMs are not as good as other players.

I'll save the rest of the commentary for the thousand other posts that bemoan the fact that long range missiles are purposefully nerfed into unusability for reasons.

Edit: She nodded slowly, said 'yes, very funny' and followed that up by 'We really need to clean this office'. So thanks guys. Now I need to clean this office. Jeez.
