I saw the LRM Locust but don't care for having to get target lock and the minimum range, so I decided to try an MRM build!

lct-1m

It did really well for my first match, with 600+ damage and 1 kill. I am just wondering if I should cut back on the heatsinks and increase the engine so I can move faster; 137kph isn't that fast for a Locust!

**EDIT**
Nevermind! I took out 2 heatsinks so I could go up to a XL185 or XL190 and found that I HAVE to have 1 more heatsink. I'm already at max tonnage with the new engine. So, no bueno.

The MRM build is fun though! Give it a try!

Uh, you have to have that many heat sinks. The build should be fun, though!

The only wiggle room you have is to shave a little armor off the arms (and one from the head) to give you a half ton and go up to a whopping 180. But 137 for an mrm skirmisher that should be engaging near-ish to other 'mechs should be quite sufficient.

I moved the Heat Sinks to the torso to shield ammo - but the build works great. Got a compliment in match chat just now. =] I don't think you actually need the extra half-ton of ammo, though; it might be better used for that extra engine rating.
