I am personally overjoyed by the uselessness of IS mechs compared to Clan mechs. Who cares if they're faster? The maps are made for sniping. Who cares if the IS mechs have way better ballistics?. The maps are made for sniping. The stealth mechs are OK, especially that Atlas. The light mechs are downright useless, but mediums and heavies are too. What is missile that fires all at once if there's still AMS, and there's is so much clutter on the maps that you can get within 200m easy. The game is made for sniping and poptarting with ER-PPCs. Why have MRMs? They're very niche and SRMs are better. I could just be far better than the average freeborn mechwarrior. But, I really don't want to believe that! I spend a lot of time trying to make IS mechs work, and I stick to clan mechs. Call me foolish. But I believe better IS mechs are few and far between. Most of them fall apart if a Kitfox-D farts. I'm just sick of the one sided view that we need to justify IS fans by having their joke mechs in the game. Add Elementals please in MWO2 when it comes out in 2026.
