I had a game today, something strange happened that I have never seen before. An opponent was stationary, I was stationary, just under optimal range for IS medium lasers, I lit off with 5 ml right into the opponent's center back, was the only mech I shot at the whole game. When the game ended, I had only 8 points of damage to the enemy. Weird right?

its possible you got luckey and rolled an engine crit before the lasers finished their burn. its possible, unlikely but possible. its not unusual for players to run only a point or two of armor back there.
