Starting with FP can be little confusing and lot of people make it seem more scary than it actually is.
I am relatively new player and I had to go through this recently myself. But with help from friends and people on forum I actually got to play some FP matches.
I decided to make little video, going over some basic steps how to prepare for FP.
Whether you are new player or simply think FP is too complicated, I hope this video helps at least a little.
FP is a lot of fun and we definitely need more people to join.
Do not worry and do not give up when things do not go well in first game. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but having fun is most important.

PS: Groups have higher priority in Faction Play queue, getting even 1 friend to play with you helps.
And best times to join FP seem to be Friday+Saturday+Sunday, starting around 19:00-20:00 CET (European time), but this can change if more people get interested during event.
