-...I need more context...
whats MMORP? do you mean MMORPG?
MECHWARRIOR 5 Galaxy? do you mean "Mechwarrior universe" or Battletech universe" for some.
Im old and work hard (tolerating a lot of BS from customers) for my money, so the idea of paying a monthly fee for playing a videogame is nonsense. dont get me wrong I tried it, played WoW for about a couple of months and then quit (it is a cool game mind you), then got addicted to GuildWars 2 (no monthly fee), which was fun for a while but their updates didnt come fast enough to maintain my interest. similar story with KotOR, but that games was just soooo slow and soooo time consuming, plus it charges monthly fee as well (past the tutorial stage I think)
I think I would still be playing WoW and KotOR if it wasnt for the monthly fee, even if it meant paying for microtransactions...
I have probably spend like $50 on MWO and I have only been playing for about 2 years, mostly buying MC and color packs when they are on sale.
although.... you could invest your money in a stock that pays a dividend and makes up for the bleeding you incur on account of a videogame's monthly fee...hmmm...ok...that could work actually work.
ok it isnt the worst idea actually

Yeah. I get it not everyone is going to want this, BUT the number of people I have spoken to directly with think its a amazing idea. Granted my sample size on the grand scale is small only about 30-40 people the ones in my unit and another unit we play with regularly.
