Anyone else agree this was the best one?
My first game I ever played on PC!

Mechwarrior 2 Mercs is awesome, just finished playing it through DOSBox again. Regret I never got a chance to play MW3. Anybody know how I can get hold of it and if it will run on Win7 (or how)?

@Adridos: Download MW2M from squakenet or filestube. I also downloaded DOSBox. I extracted all the MW2 flies into a folder on C:, then just mounted that into the dos prompt.

I like MW2 the most, but MW3 is a really close second.

MW3 is the only MW that got the scale and feel of a battlemech right in my opinion. It really felt like you were piloting a war machine. I liked the op structure (though I still prefer "nav alpha/beta/gamma" than "op able/baker/charlie"), I liked the MFB, I liked how salvage was handled, I loved the cockpit graphics, I loved the free-floating reticle (though I bet it sucked in MP I only played SP in MW3), it was just overall a really well handled game.

Best part of it that I wish they could bring to MW4 was the Mechlab...I think it handled better than the MW2 one.

Mw2 and MW3 were basically the same MechLab, or am i overlooking something here? O.o

personally for me, MW3 is the best in the series thus far. Deep engaging single player, great textures and graphics, it was a massive overhaul compared to 2.

Nice salvage system along with a host of other features that were well done, maps, voice overs etc.

Yeah ok, it had the lulz mech lab with everyone running around in the fastest mechs with 13 small lasers legging everyone in multiplayer. But back in the 56k modem days not many played anyhow.

All MW2 games had best stories and gameplay in all the series, but MW3 was best 'Mech simulator. I adore the feeling of piloting big war machine that game provided, liked physics (falls of 'Mechs during the combat, craters after missiles detonation and so on). IMO.

I wish they had made MW2 Mercs on the MW3 engine . . that would have been boss . .
Somebody needs to remake that game . . And Earth/Star Siege <.<
