I just came from a match. My first three mechs shut down from overheat even though I had Override on. The first time I wasn't sure it was on; the second time I was damned sure; and the third time I was staring right at it while firing.

Is this happening to anyone else?

...also, this only happens to me in Faction Play.

Never happened to me.

Two things happens to me from time to time:
- I press the override key instead of my coolshot (they're next to each other), thus shutting down eventually
- I forget to override on redrops, because I'm not focus enough or too much idk

edit: I don't play FP often though, so I'm probably not the best to answer

That's definitely odd. If you've got the spare computing power, try to grab a recording and see if it recurs - send a bug report, along with the video if you can get it; a complete description and any specific steps to re-create if you can't. The 'mech, variant, map, and build could all be important.

Haven't been able to recreate it.

It was during a Siege in Faction Play. Not sure what the name of the map was. Everything was brown, twisting valleys, three gates? I think?

If it was something on my end, I don't understand how that can happen.
