what if each arm has its own heat meter?

weapons should produce heat that actually affects the part where they are rather than the entire mech?

I think it would affect combat in such way that alpha strikes from lazor vomiters don't become so gratuitous ...energy weapons are still king in this game.

that's not how battlemechs work the heat system is all linked together. if you want indivudal stuff like that go play the earthseige/starsiege/tribes series where mechs have external guns.

what your talking about would also require that you need heat sinks in the arms...
