Last weekend we experienced a server issue at our data center, this issue rendered the game unplayable most of Sunday morning and the website was offline until Monday Mid-afternoon. As we mentioned on X (Twitter) here are 3 things to make up for the unscheduled downtime.
- Compensation for Active Premium Time. Anyone who had played at least 1 game between 2024-01-01 00:00 UTC and 2024-11-08 00:00 UTC will receive 3 days of Active premium time to compensate. (this will be added tomorrow)
- The active Trick or Treat Loot bag Event has been extended 72 hours.
- I am creating a Small Challenge Event for this weekend with rewards to thank you for coming back and playing MWO this weekend after the outage

Hi there... A rather huge Thank You to you and everyone else involved for everything being done after the recent November 2nd, 2024 Weekend Downtime which knocked us all offline.
And another happy Thank You for giving the helping of Premium Time to work with! It will likely provide considerable help for those who are starved on
(
C-Bills) and scrambling to build them up, myself included.
I think you might want to be aware however of the fact that, while the Trick-Or-Treat 2024 Trackers did indeed get extended, the corresponding page where those Loot Bags exist (
and also their News page item, as I discovered while typing this) unfortunately somehow missed getting a similar treatment. It happens to still be showing the original ending date, which means it will cut people off before your intended event ending time. May we please have a fix for these, along with a post-Event extension for the Loot Bags claim time in order to keep that nicely consistent with their Tracker pages as well?
In regard to the upcoming Small Challenge Event you may soon be launching, is there any chance requests for some oddball items might be accepted? For example, things like asking people to do TAG(
and/or NARC)-related assistance (
Sorry... I've been itching to have Challenges like these showing back up for years now!) in trade for earning items like those colors which were used on that Trick-Or-Treat 2024 "Mad Dog" Mech Image, possibly some
(MC) to help players along, or other things such as a few more of those fun Halloween-type WarHorns (
or perhaps Turkey maybe, or something which people have not seen possible to earn via Events for years) which people might enjoy? If you're not taking requests, please avoid being upset by my wishful thinking, as I am not trying to irritate? I am still looking forward to this in whatever form it ends up taking on.
EDIT :: I almost forgot... Since the highly-appreciated October 2024 Patch Science Sale got disrupted by that nasty November 2nd, 2024 Outage happening, is there any chance we could get that Sale re-activated for a few days too? There were things which I really wanted to get, and the disruption blocked me... There are likely many others who were affected in the same manner.
