I am still plugging away with MechWarrior 5 with my T16000M Joystick and I use it for MWO also. Played MechWarrior 2, 3, and 4 with a joystick also. It just seems the natural way to go. Joystick Yaw for mech turning. RZ for torso twist. And Pitch for torso up/down. All the controls in one hand and a good number of button presses to boot. Results in very fluid maneuvering.

Anyway, I would be lost without a joystick to pilot my mech so I hope joystick support is still included in Clans.

I'm with you completely. I've been playing Mechwarrior titles for years with a joystick + mouse, pedals and throttle. Doing without them would really kill the immersion.

i hope they actually let you bind controls without needing to manually edit a config file. that's so quake-era.

vr support would be nice too.

Will MechWarrior 5 clans have HOTAS support?
Bullock says that MechWarrior 5: Clans should control every bit as well with a controller as it does with a mouse and keyboard, though there is also support for HOTAS input for fans of the sim approach.Apr 2, 2024 ***** REAL GOOD NEWS *****
