Played about 6 hours total so far and really loving the game. However, there are some issues, some more serious than others. Below is a full list of all that I have seen personally so far:
  • Performance needs some optimization, it's fine if you have a strong PC and lower settings a bit but it's rough on lower end PCs and consoles.
  • I like the armor pods but I do wish I could move armor from front to back or rebalance it somewhat without the armor pods.
  • The crits being listed on Omnipods instead of the "hardpoints" is confusing and frustrating if you don't look at each one carefully on the other side of the screen. I unlocked a set of omnipods for the Viper that had 2 Energy listed on every pod only to find out it's 2 crits and 1 hardpoint each. Not a fun realization when you don't have much Mech XP. I was hoping to build an energy boat.
  • Mech XP really needs to be displayed in the Mechlab. You can view it in the Milestones and when you go to unlock Omnipod sets but it is otherwise somewhat hidden and annoying to have to go through multiple screens to find what you have to spend on each mech.
  • Each pilot has a specialty based on their unlockable abilities but it isn't clear on any screen except the Barracks. Example: Liam is good at lock-on missiles, Ezra is good at energy weapons, etc. Their preferences should be more clear on the mech select/drop screen so you can more easily assign a mech that makes sense for them instead of having to go to the Barracks and check.
  • I'm not sure if it's possible but being able to "respec" the affinities would be nice. I assigned one not realizing it's permanent. Not the end of the world but ideally if you have a favorite mech you'll want to pick the affinity for that mech and the weight class so they stack. And then run the weapon type ideal for that pilot to really min-max. Thankfully there are a lot of selectable affinities so maybe not a huge problem as long as you don't continue to randomly assign them beyond the first.
  • The game forgets my keybinds every time I exit the game. I only change a few things so it isn't the end of the world but if I had totally custom settings it would be very frustrating.
  • I purchased the Collector's Edition and like the extra content, however, I have to view all of it in game (unless I'm missing something). I can't look at a PDF of the art book while waiting for an MWO match to launch. I can't listen to the soundtrack while playing another game or working. Really feels like it's not a great way to give people benefits for purchasing the more expensive edition.
Congratulations on the launch, excited to see what more comes out for Clans. Love the story and the game in general so far!
