Hey all,

I am looking for players for a new unit called WhiskeyShot. I've recently returned to the game after a 6 year absence. I was tier 1 and now restarting the journey. I have great games, 1000+ damage. I also have terrible games. It's all good. The goal of WhiskeyShot is to learn and improve together. Want to work on your aim? Let's go into testing grounds and work on it. I want things to be fun and positive, with an emphasis on improving our MWO game. A 2 minute or so discussion between games to talk about what we THINK, could have been done better etc.

Open to everyone. All you need is a desire to learn the game in a serious way.

Oh and maybe a shot of whiskey to help the battle flow smoother.

N. American server.

See you on the battlefield.

If you drop full Tier5 group, you can meet full Tier1 group against you.

Are you sure about that? I need sauce.

From my (small) experience dropping with new players, we met T1 players/groups when I was on my normal account, but when I used a T5 smurf we were pretty safe.

Oh did I just bump this thread up?

It was an accident... Really.

I wasn't paying attention to what the hell I was doing.

Carry on.

I usually hover around low Tier 4, go back down to Tier 5 when events or loot bags appear where you're forced to play unfamiliar mechs or configs. Noticed this happen more often in a mixed group, when you get a streak of good games which silently raise your score the matchmaker decides to throw you or your group in with top tier after passing some invisible threshold. Then again it could just be the low player population and its just our turn to get humbled.

I'll take that over the days of waiting 30 minutes for another bad game. If you have an extra mech you can just wait for your group to die then move on to the next stompy giant robot session. :-)

@Firewolf6 good luck with cobbling together your Clan and (re)learning the ropes with them. When I came back to MWO a few friends decided to come back with me. The first year back we blundered into enemy formations, shot each other on accident, got trapped in the terrain and exploded mechs with alpha strikes. Nevermind, we still do all of the above, but having the shared experience is as valuable as "getting good."
