I was expecting large angry tribal looking clan warriors. Not a gaggle of ugly wimpy kids right out of nerd high school... Don't even get me started on the higher ups...

If this was the ~real~ clans no wonder they lost...

What do you mean by "tribal looking"? Also they are supposed to be kids because that's how things work, they are grown, they go into a sibko and undergo training then progress into the touman. Why would you expect them to be large? They are Mechwarriors, not Elementals.

The reasons the Clans lost had to do with strategy, supplies, size (or the force) and surprise. I suggest you read a few books before you post again and embarrass yourself.

The AI generated answer is spot on.

Clan Warriors in Battletech

Based on the provided search results, Clan warriors in Battletech are genetically and socially optimized for mech combat. Here’s a summary of their physical appearance and cultural characteristics:
  • Physical Appearance: Clan warriors are typically tall, muscular, and athletic, with a focus on physical prowess. They are often described as having a “superhuman” or “near-superhuman” physical ability.
  • Genetic Engineering: Clan warriors are the result of a eugenics program, which has selectively bred them for specific traits such as strength, agility, and endurance. This has led to a uniform physical appearance within each Clan.
  • Hair and Eye Color: Clan warriors often have distinctive hair and eye colors, which are determined by their genetic makeup. For example, Clan Blood Spirit warriors have red hair and green eyes, while Clan Coyote warriors have blonde hair and blue eyes.
  • Cultural Significance: Clan warriors are deeply rooted in their Clan’s culture and traditions. They are trained from a young age in the ways of combat and are expected to embody the values of their Clan.
  • Social Structure: Clan warriors are organized into sibkos (brotherhoods) and are bound together by strong bonds of loyalty and camaraderie. They often engage in ritualized combat and other activities to reinforce their bonds.
  • Attire: Clan warriors typically wear distinctive armor and uniforms, which reflect their Clan’s colors and insignia. They may also adorn themselves with tribal markings or other symbols of their Clan’s identity.
  • Behavior: Clan warriors are known for their fierce warrior ethic and their willingness to engage in brutal and intense combat. They are also often described as being fiercely loyal to their Clan and its traditions.

The wimpy overly emotional non threatening looking brats in this game are NOT clan warriors.

My snarky statement is that if the other clans were the same no wonder they lost the war because with rejects like that running the show of course logistics and and strategy was out the window. My snark is directed at whoever decided to make the clans look like a 21st century uni campus.

Jaroth is correct. Clan Mechwarriors are pretty much indistinguishable from IS Mechwarriors, maybe slightly more muscular/atheletic than most due to their lifelong training (in the game they are fully covered, so maybe they are), you are thinking of Elementals. They are generally in their 20-30's, any older and they are phased out into Solahma units, not front line units.

In the game, the Warriors the story revolves around are fresh from training, so very young. Although we do get some other, older Warriors in our Star later in the game who are in their 30's

Sorry I just don't get a clan vibe is all. These kids and upper leadership all look like generic cookie cutter future human military. You could swap them out as the generic military in many sci fi shows. No matter its the gameplay that matters and it seems people are greatly enjoying it. I see a lot of skipping of cutscenes in streams so far.

Yeah they sound pretty freeborn don't they, maybe somebody screwed up the the lab, added something to the test tubes. Posted Image

I didn't think planners showed emotions, other than anger.

Their predecessors fought and won enough to be entered into the gene pool to make more test tube babies.

The culture specifically caters to individuals that can accomplish this. Either through being the unga bunga-est, or being someone with political tact to elevate themselves.

I think you're looking for Aidan Pryde's Sibkin upbringing specifically, which feels less like bonding and training and instead gradual conditioning to be oppurtunistic gremlins that shoot each other in the back if they can get something out of it when push comes to shove.

Since you obviously don't know what you're talking about and relied on AI for the answer as YOU said, AI can only work the info it's given. I hardly think it has ALL the info from the books so it can only give a limited answer which is why I told you to read a book before you continue to embarass yourself.

These pics are from the Clan Wolf Sourcebook and thus considered canon.

https://ibb.co/BKCVFK1

https://ibb.co/Z2ZrPJ3

https://ibb.co/SN8CnG7

As you can see from Pic 1, the Mechwarrior looks to be normal sized while the Aerospace pilot is a lot smaller and leaner.

In Pic 2, as I explained before, the Elemental is very large.

In Pic 3, you can see that Phelan who is a freeborn looks a lot larger than Natasha Kerensky, a trueborn, who looks to be on the small, slender side.

Warriors are bred based on the gene-parents which vary. Bloodnames are grouped into 4 groups: General, Mechwarrior, Elemental & Aerospace.

Since sibkos are bred with mixes, the warriors produced from that sibko can vary. For example sibkos bred with 2 gene-parents that are Elementals will be rather large. However if a sibko is bred from a Mechwarrior and Aerospace line, they would come out slender.

This is an excerpt from the Blood of Kerensky trilogy's 2nd novel "Blood Legacy", where Cyrilla Ward explains how the Clans breed sibkos to Phelan Wolf/Kell/Ward:

"Nicholas Kerensky launched the Clans on an ambitious plan for rebuilding. Using the most advanced techniques available to our scientists, he began to match warriors and their bloodlines. Children were bred specifically to cultivate those traits that would make them the ultimate in warriors. As you have seen with Evantha, children intended as Elementals are bred for size and strength. Our pilots, like Carew, are bred physically small, but quick of mind and reflex to handle the difficulties of air
combat."

This info is canon and comes straight from the source. Type nonsense again at your own peril. GO READ A BOOK.

1. They are exactly what they should be. Not as small as Aerospace phenotypes and not as big as Elementals. Additionally, the story follows Mechwarrior pilots just coming out of the sibko and becoming active warriors within the touman. They haven't developed yet either mentally or physically far less established their own personalities.

2. By costumes, I assume you are referring to Pic 3. Those are for Clan Wolf and additionally they are for a ceremony as indicated in the pic. That's not what active warriors wear daily. Pay attention bro.
3. GO READ A BOOK

The cutscene of the clan grand council should of had all the respective khans in ceremonial clan attire though. I'm guessing PGI didn't do this to avoid the furries stigma
