I am sorry, silly question, Standard Variant means only the normal variants or does it include hero mechs and other special mechs, but only those you can buy from store inside game.

For example something like last loot bag event did not have the newest mechs in it.

No Hero 'Mechs, no special 'Mechs.

For example Adder Prime, Adder A, Adder B, Adder D, Adder W.

Or Nova Prime, Nova A, Nova B, Nova C, Nova S, Nova D.

etc.

nobody finds it odd that at the prize selection, the only hero mech available is the warthog? the rest are regular variant I think.

Yes that is why I ask, I am always confused what is normal mech and what is some special mech.

All the reward Mechs are Mechs that are in MW5 Clans, although I have not seen the Warthog in Clans.

The Warthog is not a hero mech, it's a loyalty mech which typically switches to cbills like a normal variant.

First, it's absent from the event because as someone already said, PGI gifted not one, not two, but three Ebon Jaguars in the past couple years.
Secondly, the Ebon Jaguar is absent from MW5 because it's introduction year is the same operation revival started, it simply wasn't available at the start of the invasion. Which is a bit of commonly known lore someone who literally puts clan Smoke Jaguar in their name should know...

Essentially, all reward 'Mechs are available for C-Bills in the in-game store.

Facing it for the first time when engaging the First Jaguar Guards Cluster in the Kado-guchi Valley,"

Since Cobalt Star fights in the Kado-guchi Valley, assisting the First Jaguar Guards, we should at least see an Ebon Jaguar or two in that battle and possibly get access to it as a reward. At this point though, it would be best to add in a DLC.

What is your source regarding that first DLC?

I think that's just his preference for the first DLC. I've seen similar wishes from those who want to play as their favorite Clans (e.g., Jade Falcon) or who want to play as IS (e.g., dirty Clanners, let me be Comstar).

Ultimately, it's pent up demand and personal preference. It'll be up to PGI to craft the best package logically .

Just hopeful speculation. Although I would not mind if they added the Ebon Jaguar in a free update.

The event has been fun. Looks like I might actually get all the prizes before I have to relocate for my job. At least I will be up and running again for the holiday events.
