not just giving all the elitist electronic assisted co-pilot having, 1-v-1 me bro oil stains what they want just so they'll stop whining!

What if I told you that you can ascend to Tier 1 even without aimbot?

To get this badge Posted Image, no "electronic assisted co-pilot" is necessary. You just have to learn from your mistakes - both in the Mechlab and on the battlefield..

It's very easy to fix NASCAR. Just follow Assaults, not Lights. Problem solved. And then you'd understand, that NASCAR isn't such big problem, as unreachable snipe positions abuse.

That would be easy if pug assaults don't follow lights in the first place, and even with comms telling them the team to not Nascar is a coinflip.

I do not know whose bright idea it was to put out in the patch notes "Quickplay map voting pool weights: All map weights are equalized. This means that each map now has the same chance to show up in the voting pool. ", But I call complete RUBBISH! Why? because the same 2 maps came up 3 games in a row! Frozen City and Canyon network. This has happened more than once. If all the maps were actually equalized, this would NOT happen!

Tell me you've never taken college statistics without telling me you've never taken a college course in statistics.

Assaults have to do it not to be left behind. It's Mediums/Heavies, who should stick to Assaults, not to follow Lights.

Logic is simple. First devs implement flawed game design called "Deathball = win", then they wonder, why players try to follow each other, that causes NASCAR. Success in this game - is thin balance between self-preservation instinct and supporting your team enough to win and earn damage. This implies, that when your team attacks - you should support it. As simple, as that. MWO isn't CS, where even one player can win match via being skillful and lucky enough to have several headshots in a row. MWO is more "dumb". It's about simple math. Do more damage, while taking less. That's it. It's about focusing fire and outnumbering your enemies. Nothing can be done about it without changing core game mechanics.

But maps, ruined by open space and unreachable (at least directly) snipe locations - are completely different story. Devs thought, that using walls around HPG to prevent NASCAR was great idea. But it's actually terrible.

We are talking about MechWarrior Online here.

Obviously, PGI wishes to keep the full control over the MWO servers and MWO maps.

Agreed. Still, I wish old Terra Therma was still around, even it was deemed 'predictable'. I'll take new maps and game modes over new mechs any day.

So in the end it's just playerbase can only be whipped into playing smart if they want to listen to comms other wise it's just nascar, since the game design is flawed from the beginning.

I was driving an Atlas for my main Assault when original Caustic Valley was still around.  And I'm here to tell you, it is not always the other people's fault your Assault got "left behind."  Yes, sometimes that happens, and it always sucks; but a lot of the time I would see players screw up, and then blame the team.  It's like the old joke: "How do you engage the reverse gear on an Assault 'mech?"  Answer: "Shoot it with a Medium Laser."  People would get shot at while crossing an open space from spawn - and immediately stop and try to fight in place, guaranteeing their demise.  Meanwhile my Atlas, which is at least as slow, was already halfway between them and the nearest cover because I chose my route better and returned fire on the move.

So it's annoying when your team just runs ahead in drooling ecstasy, ignoring your repeated warnings and calls for help - but while it can happen, it's not guaranteed to happen all the time.  There are things you can do to minimize its occurrence - and the modern meta is helpful to you on this.  Many 'mech builds - particularly Assaults - are heat-limited in their damage output - since heat, not cooldown, is their primary limiting factor on damage output, you can completely ignore the cooldown tree with a lot of builds in order to buy Speed Tweak.  It's worthwhile.
