I have never experienced this in Battletech, Mechwarrior PC games. But encountering a hatchet-man that actually used its hatchet and sliced my mech to destruction. Then realizing we can actually melee in Mechwarrior Clans? I have tried this in next round, but not that successful. But does more damage than weapons (on yourself). Then I avoid melee. Has anyone ever tried Melee or yet encountered Melee situations? I was in shock, and amazed what the Hatchet-man has done.

I've used it occasionally in defense from a charging Mech. It's very nice that its in the game for the IS side, but I try not to use it as a Clanner

Just curious if taking one of the clan members, and skill up "Melee" to max if they would go out on a melee when needed.
