Group tonnage limit is a living statement on how stupid tonnage balance is.
Right now you can run 4 MDD-C with 2C-UAC20 loadouts and blast people for 300 damage in a blink of an eye and decisively settle a match of 12v12 players (unless there's an actually good light player that no one in the group can hit), and guess what? It's a 60 ton mech so gimping group tonnage limits to stop this would might as well stop group drops.
Note: This isn't a statement to say that the current MDD-C is OP, it's actually a decent example of what a glass cannon brawler heavy (next to Crusaders) should have over just having another assault in your team. But hey, it's also proof that bruteforcing matches with extreme amount of damage is always an option I guess.
