We already had it. I believe it was 2019. It flopped like all years before or after.

MWO noob perspective here, just trying to provide some decent feedback. The FP event was a lot of fun for me, personally, because I probably never would have dipped a toe in it otherwise. So, from that end, it was a success.

I do have a couple of bits of feedback, however.

First, clan side is really underrepresented, with that being the bottleneck for getting a match. I suspect that is related to the next observation, however.

Second, that clan Mechs are very underwhelming when comparing them with IS mechs. Yes, they are usually faster, but they also do middling damage, and run constantly hot, outside of a few outliers.

Third is simply that the maps are different from QP, and it presents a decently steep learning curve for someone getting into it. I'm comfy with the QP rotation after a few months, but just stepping into Grim Portico was a very rude realization of where I am on the curve. I know that comes in time, but it is jarring to someone starting out on it.

All in all, I probably will participate more, but wanted to give what feedback I had from a new player's eyes.
