so a few matches ago i had to go afk. the reason being that my 30 pound cat decided that she didnt want to sleep on the printer anymore and belly flopped onto my desk. this would have been halarious except she catapulted a pineapple fanta off my desk. she also wrecked my lego star wars advent calendar smashing an x wing a tie fighter a venator and an omega shuttle in the process. ship parts and yellow liquid went everywhere.

while this was going on i was in my commando in persuit of a flea, but i had to go grab a towel. the house isnt quite level, so i have to deal with it or it will go everywhere. so i found a nook in the side of the canyon and shut down to go get one. i intend to come back as soon as ive stopped the expanding puddle and get the mop after the match. this took longer than it should have given that my way was blocked by a senior citizen in a wheelchair who thought she could grab a towel faster than i could. i eject the cat from my desk and get in my chair just in time for said flea to back shoot me. somehow the entire team managed to die in the 30 seconds this all went down. sorry team.

might as well post your own afk shenanigans. afks are an annoyance for all of us, being a man down, even temporarily, sucks. but there is usually a reason other than trying to preserver kdr (anyone who has seen my stats know that boat sailed long ago) or general trolling. excrement happens.

I'm sure most of us have had to make a mad dash to the toilet, mid match.

excrement happens...

I inhaled my own saliva once, it went down my lungs, lost a couple minutes of match time, coughing and trying to not puke.

Not AFK, but playing MWO with a toddlers who wants to sit in your lap and watch you play... that can be challenging. Almost as bad as AFK.

Or wants to talk on coms to all your friends, mid match, AND figures out where the VOIP button is. good times.

I was in a match one time. My wife comes in the room and I'm very focused on the match. She say's "Hey hun, lets go upstairs" I told her "Not now I'm busy with this match"

She says "myname" look at me. I look over-She's standing there in some seductive lingerie.

I chat to me team real quick "Sorry guys, gotta go, I'm about to get lucky" I then jumped up, and ran upstairs.

nothing funny for me sadly. i am a primary care giver for my elderly grandparents (grandpa 87, grandma 84) so the most often cause for me having to go AFK is because they need something. usually its either bathroom or tech related.
