The "Patch Sale" or the "Science Sale" usually includes only 'Mechs that had their stats or quirks changed in the game patch.

The Timber Wolf was not mentioned in the December Patch notes.

Those ones are not in On-Sale status at this time because of being freshly released for (C-Bills) to the player base. We can probably look forward to a Sale on those at some future time.

It should have been, seeing as the last Monthly Game Update happened to adjust it. Therefore, the entire Mad Cat Mk. II variant lineup should have been included and On-Sale as well. (I even know another player who would be within their rights to ask for a refund of the overpayment in (MC) if it got discounted now.) Details unfortunately get missed however, even if unintentional.

As equally though, it could be some weird Special Order came down from PGI's C-Suite or from the EG7 parent company about this whole series of Legend-To-Hero Mechs which disallows their in-game discount. But frankly, if anyone thought that was a great thing to do, then all those so-called "big wigs" are doing is severely devaluing those Legend-To-Hero Mechs by keeping costs far higher than they should be. And they're earning the distrust/upset/annoyance/anger/<insert-some-other-suitable-choice-here> of MWO's Community over it as well, which will do them serious hurt in future times to come whether they like it or not. I however seriously hope that this is merely nothing more than a conspiracy theory, but one can still worry.
