Not sure if this topic is in the right section, but here are my thoughts and opinions.
(JP to EN machine translation)

・Thoughts on playing PXH-S
.Very unique play style. I had a lot of fun shooting enemies while hovering!
.XPL is a great way to utilize the unique JJ, but I felt it was too weak!
.Compared to APACHE, it feels too backwards compatible.

What I want
1. add CD and duration reduction to the XPL like the LCT-1V or simply add more hardpoints.
2. make JJs switchable between vertical and horizontal
3.Increase the speed of JJ.

I would like to see a unique and interesting MECH like RED REAPER or ONYX rather than a P2W-like adjustment like HOWL

Yes it definitely a unique playstyle. You need to get all the lift speed, vent calibration and the shock absorbance nodes in order to slightly fix the weak JJ, but its still very weak.

PGi will never allow switching between jump jet modes because 1. I don't think the engine will allow it and 2 it will make it too OP and hard to use. They may however increase lift speed of JJ in a patch.

They had plans to increase it in the previous patch but for some reason did not.

For me personally, I felt that in many games, lift speed was more important than JJ's switching.
So if lift speeds become much better than they are now... I am sure APACHE will enter the meta game.
The no-no of SPECTRE is that the nature of this peculiar JJ is exactly the same for heavy and medium.
SPECTRE, which allows you to go up higher and faster.
APECHE for longer and longer flights
I hope that differentiation will be made in the following manner.

I agree but actually PGI wanted to boost the lift speed of the Apache more than the Spectre. In the October patch leaks they were going to boost the lift speed of the Apache only, but did not boost either mech in the real patch.

Anyway both mechs need it, purely from a fun to use game mechanics perspective. Just enough not to make it cumbersome.
