Idk why dev stops posting news on steam, to be specific only mw:clan gets news update, the last post for MWO was in May 24' almost 6 months ago.
at least posting news on steam makes it looks like the game is still running for new players, considering MWO is a live service game.

Discussion/news updates to Steam would help to get more people interested in this game and help generate more business for PGI. The DLC mech packs should also be updated and add to, as the selection is limited on Steam. MWO looks inactive on Steam as it currently is.

I think the developers at some point have to give the current status of the game, it's not just the lack of updates on steam, I've been trying to delete a mech for 1 month and there's no response when you contact them via email, there are many downtimes without events, the developers and staff members don't show activity on the forum either.
In my opinion, I think we're witnessing the twilight of this game, and I really hope it's not like that, because I love this game, but I've been in games that close their servers, and this is how it starts
