Hi, I am a long time Mechwarrior fan and player. I am a vivid player of your Mechwarrior 5 Mercenaries but for Clans, not so much as it doesn't appeal to me because of the semi-linear gameplay and design.
I wish to appeal for the continuation of the DLCs for MW5 Mercenaries. You guys want to make money to survive and to continue as a business entity and recently, the MW Clans has not performed well due to the mass lay off.
I would like PGI to continue to make MW5 Mercenaries DLCs. DLCs for example like.
- DLC 7, Arrival of the Clans. Clan mechs and weapons.
- DLC on Mercenaries Alone. This I mean you can access to Mercenary Worlds like Galaetia, Outreach, a Pub you can visit to hire replacement mechwarriors and getting missions. Something like Wing Commander Privateer you can go around and interact with people. Like Equipment rooms, off world mech storage. Interstellar Expeditions missions to lost tech cache. Or just go solo on your own missions to raid Houses and chase up lost tech cache. You can start as a generic mercenary unit instead of bound to the Mason story line. This DLC allows the complete freedom of choice as to you can be Merc, Privateer, House unit or going Pirate. You can allow a unit to have a lifespan spreading to multi-generational careers.
-DLC on Pirates. Where you can operate as a Pirate band. Or Masquerade as one.
-DLC on Refusal Wars.
-DLC on the Second Star League and the annihilation of the Smoke Jags
- DLC on Fedcom Civil War
- DLC on the Jihad
And Beyond.. to the Founding of the Republic.
Year by year or 2 DLCS per year. Player will buy them. It has to be freedom of choice. Players can customised their mechs and so on.
I hoped that as an individual player, that my ideas and voice is heard.

The big problem with their version of DLC for that game is they sell them for $15 which is about half the price of the game for some mech models and very little additional playable content.
MW5 would have been an excellent platform for them to build a host of actually worth $15 (or more) content onto if only they could have seen beyond the mechpack model.
There could have been campy stories about working up to mech pilot status and into leading teams for each house.
It could have been paired up with Clans, could have pre-queled, storied up around the story lines in some of the dozens of books. Heck they could have had someone write up stories to incorporate their comp contests.
Really is too bad they are/were dead set on building around the mech pack as the strategy and device to try to base the value on, its just not comparable from MWO to a single player game. I also don't think that strategy will work if they go to MWO2 and have an upfront costs and reoccurring battlepass/sub fee it really only works for MWO because it's a F2P game.
