OK, I know generally said: AI is BAD!
AI IS DOOOOO BAAAAAD!!!
Got that... Generally?
TL\DR (kind off)
I started to put up some of my poems and short stories to WattPad. Nothing fancy, and I dare to say: Nothing good either. Usual "myself quality". OK, got some read and nice replies but that's not mean I did good things. The world just not works that way, ja?
That much about the... Whatever, skip to next part!
I got a private message with a link. It were one of my poems used as lyric for an AI-generated song\music\dunno-howda-callit... Not to start a debate if it were legal or not to use that poem, it were clearly no bad intentions behind use that (I got a fan?!?). And the AI-generated result were pretty good and that threw my mind into confusion.
I am also not fan of the AI. So far what I saw created by AI were mostly sh!t if someone not edited carefully the AI's product (what is almost as much work as do something from scratch mostly). But how I generate music is painfull. I mean use Audacity without real skills my musics are usually mediocre at best, easy to spot where I tried blend small pieces\parts\snippets together.
However if I can take my poems and turn them a kind of good piece of song by an AI (got it that such AI tools are not free), then would it be acceptable to use AI? Or it would be the same "EZ way" as just type 10-20 words of prompt?
TL\DR (or not)
What's your two cents about that? Would it decrease me using AI tools to turn my poems to songs or that much may forgivable?
Of course since AI tools are not real persons, whatever generated by them cannot fall under any kind of copyright (maybe creative common more or less?)... So legally it is interesting how may copyrights over my own poems may change...
...
Okay, I know! I used the word "poem". I beg your pardon! I know as much as you that call those poem is like call a black hole a shining pulsar... Sorry, really!
