Hi, been a fan for decades, know the lore well.
Part 1. I understand that the game revolves around the lore 3050 and abouts. Not much can change cannon lore but great use of lore in the release of MW clans recently. However written into the lore are shadow groups that mix things up from time to time to usurp the balance to their own ends, Comstar well known for it, but also Clan Wolverine are about.
Part 2. In MWO I can buy pretty much any mech with a little patience or some credits thrown in if I want something now. No real incentive to work for it and therefore overall not really appreciate it and stay connected as a customer. There is a way to keep the interest going after the first pack purchase and beyond.
Part3. Our unit runs its own event using discord where rank can be achieved by hunting and taking down some of our more experienced players, and fun ribbing included for free. But I would like to see MWO introduce mech hunting again as in the past events, but with a twist...You can only buy a certain type of rare mech if you first take it down say ten times in matches when you rarely seem them. Can't stress enough, " you cant even buy a version of this mech until you have secured 10 kills". Its not meant to be easy, a real staying power needed to game on to rack up the kills, co-ordinate with friends and involve others.
The mech being hunted and piloted by regular gamers (quirks kept in the dark, the 01) is but a version of what's on offer that can be seen in the store, the 02).
This generation I have found that by telling them they cant have something, only drives them to want it more, and to be fair when this game started we all craved that star league tech bonus that gave us an edge over the rest of the IS, or salvage a clan mech.
If your interested in hearing more of my idea please feel free to reach out on thread, or even email, carlbutcher@xtra.co.nz

I'm not an amazing player. I imagine I'm sort of in the common grouping for the game. I play when there's an event or friends want to, I'm rank 4 usually, and I don't have amazing stats.
I would absolutely *love* to play this game mode. Hunter or hunted, I don't care. I would queue up for it constantly, because it shakes up the dynamic. No longer is it just "Murder ball or flank" it's now a matter of trying to find a single mech. In past games where it gets down to a single mech on one of the sides, those games are the most fun to me. Even when I'm just a flea running for my life, occasionally taking shots on the enemy, I had *fun.*
