It was absolutely amazing. Eight of us got through 2/3 of it (not bad, if you ask me!), and yet the 1/3rd left was still ridiculously heavy to carry out (it had to legitimately weight 7 or 8 pounds).

I don't think I'm going to be hungry for a month...

You could've eaten a bit more and you would be fine for the rest of your life. B)

Wait. You were eight and couldn't finish this thing? Ah ok, just checked the picture again, there were some women. No disrespect. If eight hungry men were to attack this monster it would go down, I think :(

Oh, no, you don't understand. That girl on the right side of the picture trying to stay out of the line of the photo is my little sister. She has a hollow leg with a black hole at the bottom. The amount of food that she can put down is ridiculous (and she's still a frickin' toothpick... Still trying to figure that one out...). Now, her boyfriend doesn't actually eat a lot (which has caused a running joke between them), he had I think half a slice (my little sister finished the rest of his slice, iirc), but everyone else had at least a slice. I was the only one who managed to get two whole slices down.

To get an idea of how big that burger was, we had about a third of it left over afterward, dad had it for lunch at work for the following three days, we had it for dinner for the following three nights, and then mom took the rest of the burger and made a big pot of stew with it.

Man, that sounds big. No. Make that ******* big. I'd like to give that monster burger a try with some company.

Say Hi to your little sis from me. I know exactly what you are talking about. :) I may be 1.90 but I'm slender to normal, not big. But I can eat for three grown men. And people always wonder where I stuff all that food. Probably in the legs they guess... (One possibility is a hyper metabolism which burns two to three times the normal energy. I don't have that, though.)
At a good BBQ I used to eat one kg of steak, some chips, one or two side plates of salads and a dessert. :P
Is that "European large, American medium"?

Ha, yeah. It was damned big. They actually have two sizes larger than that, a 50lb/22.72kg burger and a 113lb/51.36kg burger (it's actually the largest burger in the entire world). The latter is strictly done for charities and such, but the 50lb. burger is part of their challenge burgers. For the one we had, the 15lb/6.82kg burger, the challenge is for two people to eat the entire thing in 3 hours. If they manage it, it's free, and they get some t-shirts and the like.
