I am sorry if I have ever shown up as disconnected in your matches, however it has been beyond my control.

Recently, I have been getting an issue where I am unable to connect at all in certain lobbies. It has been an increasing frequency of it happening, and I am getting dinged by the automated system as a result.

After choosing game mode and map, it then begins loading, only for it to return to the main menu after some time and display an error message saying "Disconnected from game server".

Attempting to reconnect results in the same issue.

  • Your location, city/state or country? Quebec, Canada. Ya essentially on the east coast while the NA server and authentication server is closer to the west coast.
  • ISP ?
  • All game servers? For testing unselect all servers but the NA. It does not appear ya getting in far enough to determine which game server the issue may be with.
  • Restart router/modem, ie unplug for 30secs then plug back in. This clears its memory , especially when ISP updates the modem, a reboot is sometimes necessary if the update did not take hold properly.
  • Also if the Gateway (router/modem combo) or router is owned by ISP, any updates can also charge any built-in software internet security settings. Disabling it for testing is one step that can be taken to check. Disabling that piece does not disable the NAT (hardware portion of the router/gateway).
  • Flush DNS and change DNS from ISP to Google/etc
  • If your smartphone has the ability to create a hotspot to use its own network, provided it is different from your ISP, that is one route to temporarily use.
  • If not using a VPN, test with a VPN, even a free VPN and this is primarily for troubleshooting .even a few free ones, as there may be a problematic router system between your ISP and PGI network. The VPN has the potential to change the pathway your connection takes.
  • If the issue was with PGI servers/their internet network, the forums would be full of threads or a few high volume threads.
This is primarily to troubleshoot the issue while potentially finding a way around the issue, or fixing a potential issue that is within your control. If the issue is not within you ISP but somewhere between your ISP servers and PGI's network servers, the only thing you can do is to look at how to work around those problematic router management systems or reduce the game servers being used for the time being.
