For the last few days I've been having frequent disconnects from the server even though my hardwired internet connection remains over 400 mbps download speeds and over 10 mbps upload speeds. My ping with the servers have been horrible as well. NA servers I swing between 40 and 100 ping and rubber band at times as if I'm on Oceanic servers.
A few days ago the game told me to end the session as there was a new patch available so I ended session, restarted the game only to see a PLAY button displayed. No new patch available.
I run through the stand alone client and not STEAM. I did a MWO Repair Tool operation and nothing changed. Even run it in admin mode. Still no luck.
One drop yesterday I was penalized for "leaving the game early" when the game disconnected me and wasn't my doing.
Not sure what changed but it has made my enjoyment of the game drop significantly. I have been told other players have been experiencing this poor connectivity issue as well so I know I'm not the only one.

You could use this e-mail to contact the MWO Tech Support service:

I've been having a similar issue, but that's because 101Global's wifi service sucks here.
