Awww those fundamentalist baptists give everyone else a bad name and when you look at their congregations it tends to be older fussy karen types who live to get in other peoples business. In general we are just as chill and like to watch the game and drink a beer the same as anyone else. Alcohol is taught to abstain from but only as a personal choice its not a sin or else Jesus would have got in trouble with all that water into wine. Wine or a drink with a meal is perfectly acceptable along with light social drinking but in strict moderation. No getting sloshed with the lamp shade on your head. Indoctrinating kids? ~cough~ public schools ~cough~ Spamming flyers to come join the congregation? Welllllll.. We might be a bit guilty of that but you can always toss them in the bin if you see one stuck under your windshield wiper or doorknob.

As to the rest I'll let them chime in.

if you are gay/les/bi/trans and republican, you will get more hate from the lgbt... movement than the republicans. that is a fact.

I really feel like this topic will just explode into arguments and things just not really needed on this forum.
Unfortunately it's a very controversial topic to discuss at present.... This is just likely to turn into an attack topic on either group....

at least its in off topic where it belongs, rather than derailing a topic about the future of the game actual.

Sure. A dev thought it necessary to bring up and pride members thought it necessary to respond to so here we are. As long as the forum rules are followed then we can have a nice discussion. I was having a great time myself and none of my posts attacked anyone or called anyone names. Quite the reverse actually. There were several unanswered replies when it got locked so here we are to take it back up where we left off. Funny that no one seems interested now that there is an actual topic for it tho..

I could respond on a possibility. why ,but that will start an argument so... I'll keep it to myself

Then respond. It's a discussion forum and this is the off topic section. If your valid personal opinion causes an argument then argue within the forum rules? Any topic worth discussing often leads to a clash of opinions and thats a normal natural thing. It's when debate is silenced because of worrying about someones feels where the real problems arise because without open debate there can never be compromise or agreement.

I think things started when some of us agreed with DATA's assessment of the game
that is bringing sex into a game is wrong
the game is supposed to be about the game
just think if I tried to put into the game Jesus the Christ people would go ape

lets talk about MWO, let me try to high jack this thread
I posted this to try to point out part of the MWO problem talking about the ShadowHawk IIC

"the 45 tons is a big mistake with the increased lethality in the game makes the mech is a no go. but then some say oh we can quirk it, well the other players will say it is OP for such a small mech and the whole thing spirals out of control (which is part of the MWO problem)"

data's gonna data. he is going to be opposed to anything that keeps him from his edge of map blue flashlight shenanigans. i dont see how he can tell someone has a pride flag at that range, unless someone puts it on a flea of course. note his attitude on lights, or missiles, or anything that counters this specific play style. more camping, that's sure to fix the game.

if were going there (tangent in a tangent thread) i kind of find it disturbing that the tangent got a reboot where the original thread is kind of dead now. it does not say much for the state of the game. event will tilt the numbers for a couple months and make it look like the doom and gloom is completely wrong, and then come back for vengeance just before the next lootbag. especially when you have to give away 3 heroes and a legend to get people to show up. certainly makes up for the $40 urbie.

even that seems to be working, the already have a 10k prize pool. this means they sold about 500 standard packs or 300 of the delux packages since tuesday as of this post. this actually gives good data on how much the remaining player pool is spending. perhaps someone can extrapolate and compare that with a guesstimate of how much upkeep costs.
