OK PGI. By now, I hope you guys are aware of the situation that is happening on ALL digital store fronts. It's not just Steam, this something that is happening to GOG and Epic Games Store and all as well. Recently it has been proven painfully clear that Visa, Master Card and PayPal are engaged in not only committing Mass Censorship but also blocking payments which they are NOT supposed to do (unless its fraud and all that going on etc). This problem has been going on for a few weeks now and it's getting worse. We also have a DLC coming up in September and that is going to score a huge concern. If we got people who were planning on buying the DLC in countries that have been recently banned from using PayPal and all, this could be a very big problem. I honestly hope you have some sort of alternative means for folks who are going to buy the DLC if they are not able to use their normal payment methods with let's say maybe Key Codes or so on from MWO's site, who knows.
I would like PGI to kindly share us any information that they can provide us with what is happening lately. We don't want any form BS PR Statements. Be honest with us on this. As they say, "Honesty is the best policy." We don't want folks to be prevented from buying any DLC or so on using ANY of the payment methods.
Before anyone goes off talking about how this is something regarding the adult content on steam, I am well aware about that and for a long time. Steam's policies on that end were working just fine before all this crap started a few weeks ago. Payment Processors were threatening Steam at gunpoint with de-banking regardless of the reason. Just so everyone knows, what is happening on that end has NOTHING to do with only adult content. This could affect anyone wanting to buy upcoming games like Battlefield 6 and all down the road. I've been using Steam since 2007 and I personally don't care for the adult content that's on the platform. Most of the time I usually can't see those kinds of content on steam because well you guessed it; my account is setup to not show it. People want to buy that kind of stuff and it is legal, Ya. I don't have a problem with it. Let them do as they wish.
I'm also well aware about the executive order that President Trump recently issued against these companies a few days ago. (Guaranteeing Fair Banking for All Americans). This is just 1 step to a major problem that we are seeing. These bankers and Payment Processors engaged in unlawful practices against companies regardless of political parties and all. That is against the law.
Heres a video that can explain the rest.
