I was wondering if the mechs i've aquired can be given to other players as I am no longer going to be playing MWO as of Aug 8th 2025 If not then I'll sell whatever I can and exit from the game. My eyesight is just getting worse and even playing on a big screen tv is a challenge so I am retiring from online gaming and moving on Thanks and good luck mechwarriors

Sorry to hear that... wishing you all the best in your future endeavours!

There is definitely no mechanism to transfer mech/assets to other players, not even CBills or MC.

You can freely donate your account to someone to account sit-in for you on a longer permanent basis if you wish.
Think that's about all that can be done... good luck, and all the best!

Or, you can just leave the account lying around, log in to take a friendly look around once in a longer while ;)

giving your account away is not against TOS? I would have said that But i dunno what the case is for the TOS.

Probably, but maybe not; the Game License is described as non-transferable, but in section 5C it expressly forbids selling, renting, leasing, or licensing the "licensed materials." They might have put that in there to cover all their bases, or it might indicate a loophole where you can give away your account so long as you don't sell it - we'd have to ask a lawyer specializing in the applicable contract law.

Other than the non-transferable part i don't see anything about giving it away for free to someone else as a problem.

Right; "non-transferable" means that it can't be given away - but there might be applicable contract law in Canada (or elsewhere) that gives consumers the right to transfer. We'd have to ask a lawyer, but... if I give away my account, how will they know unless I tell them? And if whoever takes up my name still plays the game, should they care? This kind of provision is designed to stop people from selling accounts and powerleveling services more than locking people into a sunk cost.

I doubt Piranha would take legal action against someone who physically cannot play anymore gifting their account to someone who can. even if the law says they can, what are they going to do - turn down someone receiving a gift from a friend and playing their game because of it?

I'm sorry you're heading out this way, Jaxon. Good luck with your future endeavors.
