Greetings Mercenaries,

We’re thrilled with the reception to MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries - Shadow of Kerensky! The team has been watching your content, reading your posts, and taking notes. We’re keeping a close eye on your feedback (including AI weapon usage behavior) as we plan future updates.

In the short term our first hotfix is now in QA, and we wanted to share a preview of what’s coming. (notes below) Alongside this, we have prepared the Full Shadow of Kerensky Game update notes to cover the additional fixes and changes that shipped with the DLC. (notes below)

And if you missed the news, Japanese language support is also on the way in an upcoming patch.

Why in Solaris duels some mechs stand still and don't go anywhere, even if I shoot at them from afar? It looks pathetic

Why does Solaris' duel take so many days? What 10-16 days for one performance? It seems to me that it should be much faster

Allies and Mercs that fight with you still always follow the Player every like a Brainless rattail.
Often they Block you and you must kill em for gettting out of the situation. Also they open fire no matter if they are behind you or next to the player and try to shoot trough you to hit the Enemy..

.Is it really ecessary that they follow the player every where he goes and stop a freaking meter behind him?
. Even in Combat situations they follow rather the player,when changing position, then fight against the Enemys.

Please make in the Mechlab Weapongroup Window, that the Equipped Weapon locations are named like in MW5 Clans.
and ya save load loadout would be fantastic to have in Vanilla game.
Pretty annoying that you have to rely on modders to have the usefull basic functions like weapon location named loadout save /load and a few useful things more

something that is bothering me, clan mechs almost never use their range advantage, the a.i. [clan] pilots use their weapons in a very limited fashion they dont fire, its supposed to be hard to fight them, in the beginning at least, until clan weapons are salvaged.maddogs are no real threat,fix the clan a.i. or at least how they use their mechs

Whut?Never use their range advantage? Firemoths and Mist Lynxs surounding our Lance and dhoot only with Lock on Missiles from distance and that in the most Misisons against the Clans.. I think they act very good for a PGI made AI

. the Problem is the Teamate AI. Didnt think PGI could make them more stupid,...they did.
A Elemental swarms sourounded us while we under Arty Fire. and LRM´s-( miss the yaml aMS option for every Mech.)
Team mates came closer and closer to me and i ,couldnt aim at anything. so my Team mates was ripped in pieces..
Allies and Mercs in Missions are also no help cause they shoot /Block you or your Fireline.
.Hopefully that TT rulez AI guy make very fast a Update for his mod
Oh and these elite Pilots, can they do anything more then get stock somewhere and talking a lot of Bulls##t?

Jeez make the mod Gods do their updates very very fast

The Team aI is overwhelmed with fast moving close coming Enemys like the firemoths Mist Lynx and mostly th Elemental swarms. Because they are everywhere around and betwen them. They shoot more themselves as the Enemys
. Especially in destroy /Scorched earth missions are the spawn interwalls of the Enemys to short. I think it would help a lot the Team ai to deal with close coming running between them Enemys.
I perosnally can deal with the Clans but complete without team help you are fast ripped in parts.

Edit: PGI can you please reprogramm the Allied Mercs AI? Whenever i turn around the Allied Mercs or Allied other mechs are standing straight direct me. Whereevr i go or try to be faster then them somewhere they are a few moments later again direct behind me. Iam sick of wasting ammo becuase of killing thee blocking Teamshooting allied Idiots ,there´s no other olution then Teamkilling them. Give them the simple order "hunt the Enemy and stay away from the Commander in a Radius of 120 meters.
They was before DLC7 annoying as Hell now they are a like annoying Fly´s

There are no problems with the artificial intelligence of the partners. My teammates behave the same way as the people from my team at the MWO

the AI is keepin a little bit too close. like they keep blocking me from backing up in restrictive spaces, and they outright swarm repair bays, preventing me from using them.

Is there a way to tell my LRM boat to stay back and use the LRMs instead of running up and tickling clanners with its small laser? Also, for some reason, a lancemate will turn around and wonder off, getting suck in the canyon. this has happened twice on two different maps. like they wander way, way off and then get stuck, seemingly unprompted.

To place a missile man in position, simply use the command system. F1-F5 keys

PGI, can you PLEASE make it so that we can buy more salvage shares when picking our salvage after missions? The vanilla salvage system is terrible! I'm pulling my hair out in frustration as my Purchase Salvage mod is broken because of the Shadow of Kerensky update. It really feels bad when I'm one share short of getting a cool new Mech. It makes no sense why buying more salvage shares isn't an option.

Most likely because your employer wants to keep this mech for himself. Therefore, he will demand full compliance with all points of the contract, including the division of trophies

Because of 'mech repair times, I'd imagine. If there wasn't that time between duels, you'd be much less able to re-use your 'mechs again after a match. Which might be fine if you're just picking up contracts - but I remember some story duels being scripted, so I think it's a quality of life decision.

can we now get a sandbox game for clans, where you play as a clanner. that would be very nice.
with everything that goes with being a clanner.

Clanners hardly use it in lore *either*.

worth remembering most people who play MWO or MW5 claiming to be "Clanners" want to be Mercs using ClanTech. Clan Culture says "Face your enemy eye to eye." Which means not standing in another zipcode sniping. You wanna be a Clanner, act like one. Or be solahma. In which case you wouldn't be in the shiny frontline stuff.

No Melee, no firing at more than one target, no firing at your starmate's target unless you're given *express* permission, etc.

There's a reason Zelbrigen is never instituted in a computer game. It's not fun, and it's *WHY* the Clans lost on Tukayyid.

I've noticed an issue where my allied AI no longer use more than one weapon at a time, even if you manually group them together.

ok now Im curious, what's next? are you guys cooking more DLCs for MW5M/MW5C?...are you cooking MWO2? more mechs for MWO? another 10 years of battletech action? can we get a peek? or some kind of roadmap? last year it kinda looked like the game was in a poor state, but things seem to have...ameliorated...did someone at PGI won the lottery?

Just a Question PGI,is there a Reason why there are no Warzone Missions against the Clans in the Invasion corridor?Only Destroy Assasination and Raid missions

Please Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease PGI do something with your Merc Units. When they show up as allies, they are only one thing: annoying incompetent as Hell.They do nothing else then run after the ommander lie a brainless Rattail.
Whenever i turn around they stand behind me. Even if i try to run them away with the SuperChargers they are a minute later a half meter behind me.
Blocking me from withdrawing or getting away from a dead end place.
OR they show their fully Potential in stupidity. A Red Triangle appears and they shoot on it,no matter if my back is betwen the Enemy and them...Is it really necesesary that they just follow you wherever the Commander goes? Let em hunt the Enemy on their own and perfect would be if they stay away from the commander in a Diameter of 100m-150 meters

pleaase please change their behvior. Coyote did a option for no allies spawning but that doesnt include your dumb as a bag of rice mercs.Till someone does a mod for changing that there is no other reason then teamkilling these §$%&
