As a relatively new player I grinded through the current event and finally finished and selected the Moonwalker Nice mech and enjoyed the battlepass. However this last week has seen disconnects, lag and multiple headshots etc, Also I have been damaged by enemy team mechs thru buildings, etc I am aware I might be exposed, but it's getting to be intolerable. I've given MWO a solid effort but I cannot see moving forward if I am going to damaged and not able to return fire because i'm behind cover etc Any feedback will be appreciated as I think I'll shelve MWO for the immediate future and find some good youtube tutorials to study then possibly return in a few weeks

Yeah, give it a little break and come back, it's fun despite the rough edges.
This is a game that highly rewards teamplay, positioning, reading the terrain, etc.

The core gameplay here is not quite like anything else. That's what's stood this game in such good stead over the years, despite disappointments and rough patches.
Never be afraid to just take a break for a while, from any game. I've done it with MWO, I did it with EverQuest; I do it with single-player titles as well. Sometimes all it takes is a little time to allow your mind to come at the challenges the game provides you from a new direction.
