So I just watched TTB because dude dropped on the feed, and apparently, lately, now there's another paywalled mech, now with a custom super high-powered PPFLD with no convergence issue of the 2x Gauss? Bullshark? More like Bull-****.

I mean, you might as well just introduce Improved Heavy Gauss and let people dump 40 from 600m, hell maybe just desync Gauss and PPCs and just let us do the 2x Gauss + 2x PPC once again. I know you guys want to. Putting heavy damage in one component will always be the meta, and the laser-burn on Gauss-Vomits, at this point, is pretty arbitrary.

Gonna give us Thumpers any-time soon? That way we can fully engage enemies in defilade and in dead-zones? I doubt it. The LRM's IDF wasn't kosher.

I have to say, the implementation is quite frankly getting somewhat unhinged, a little more P2W, so much power-creep. Ever since the cauldron has been on the reigns, things had been somewhat crazy, especially the Legends that looks like they're made to break established balance and construction-rules -- crazy quirks, inflated hardpoints, high-mounts, ecm, always the ******* culprit.

But hey, maybe the tonnage-limit is the next horizon to breach? A 130-ton King-Crab with railguns on each arm instead? (Its the heaviest tonnage I could think that could work with 48 KPH, with 390 Engine.)

It is getting a slight nerf to its splash damage (the Railgun). Going from 12 per side to 10 per side splash damage. An improvement, but still .... splash damage....

The IS version mech is having its -heat removed, clan version is having its armor effectively halved.

The problem isn't the implementation, but it's concept. As if the long-range poke isn't toxic enough.

Like, let's just put a single-projectile 40 PPFLD + 12 Splash on high-mount, that is also very long-range (note that the 25 damage of HGR is sub 3). That's more than the PPFLD output of two standard Gauss, and they're heat-scaled with PPCs so they can't be padded.

Oh, its getting a nerf to it's splash-damage, by like 2 points of difference? Yeah, really going to make a difference. /s

Should have been just 30 damage like 2 Gauss.

While the railsharks are getting deserved nerfs, I will say that compared to gauss they have an 8 second cooldown and generate 20 heat per shot.

There is already an active discussion about The Voidkiller and the Warghoul Legends, please use that thread to discuss, instead of opening several parallel discussions about the same topic. Thank you.
