First time i've ever had positive heatbug. Notices it first shot when much faster dissipation than previous matches, same build.
https://youtu.be/lRgA_F79bFc
This is the build A?;E4::1|0f|l^|6Ipb0|l^|l^|l^|g<2qb0|l^|l^|l^|PCrX0|PC|lB|lB|l^sX0|lB|lB|l^|lBth0|l^uh0|l^v<0w606060
Video should have match id and everything in it.
Almost seems like every time weapons are fired, it uses a cool shot, cools fast a bit then slows down the lower the heat. The point the heat dissipation slows again seems to be lower, then throughout the match the point it slows down is higher and higher on the heat % as the match goes on/the more i fire. In the end of the game shooting the stalker the cooling on 75ish% is very low.

Some of this is movement based. Moving produces a small amount of heat, which normally is just a very small amount of "less cooling".

However, yeah. Something was strange with the heat there... Your first shot you quickly dropped down in heat right away. Then, it kept having a higher "cap" when it would slow down your cooling... I only watch till about half way when I started to notice that just walking at times increased your heat noticeably (like, you were gaining actual heat on your bar). That... should not happen (with exclusion to Stealth Armor maybe).

Want my hot take on this? I think it's movement based. Every time you went from neutral to moving, it felt like it would stack on more "movement heat" upon you. It felt like it was not resetting that movement heat to 0 when you stopped moving, but was "slowly dissipating it" back to 0. Then, you moved again, which added the movement heat again on full, but not at the movement heat cap, just adding it onto what movement was already generating before hand. This meant it kept adding movement heat to the old movement heat, creating a feedback loop of stacking heat that wouldn't clear...

Ex: Say, for sake of this example, movement adds 5 heat generation to your cap when moving. It's suppose to zero out when you are standing stationary instantly, but instead isn't. So, you stand still for a fraction of a second, which drops movement heat from 5 to 3. Then you move again, adding 5 more heat, making a total movement heat generation of 8. Then you stand still for a moment, dropping down 2 more movement heat taking you to 6, and then move again gaining 5 more movement heat taking you to 11. Then you stand still for an extended time, removing the 5 movement heat... taking you back to 6 base heat generated "for no good reason". Then you move again, back to 11. Stop for a fraction of a second, going to 10, and then move again going to 15... etc. By the end of the match, you find yourself with 20+ movement heat generating, even when standing still...

I don't know if I said this very well, as I can see it in my mind better than I think I can type it out.

I do wonder... is this an issue overall, or could it be related to MASC? If it could be repeated, that would be even better at narrowing the issue down...

Watch the heat at 1:46 in. You are just walking back and forward, and go from 11% heat back up to 12% heat, which shouldn't happen...
https://youtu.be/lRgA_F79bFc?t=106

But that initial instant drop from a high percentage down about 10% of your heat before slowing the dissipation is strange. I can't explain why it should be doing that, short of a cool shot.

Another thing to consider... does this mech have heat quirks? Wonder if that might be messing with the heat as well, being applied in an incorrect manner?

Yeah, it happens (I also got it on camera). When a server is hit by the heat bug, some players might benefit for better cooling after a shot, when (the most common) others have their cooling nerfed.

Heat bug hit a recent match and I got lucky and got the heat dissipation buff. It was like having 30+ sinks it dropped heat so fast. Abused it royally. Posted Image
